Your mission
- You ensure the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of our entire pipeline
- You develop and improve our production-grade software systems
- You make architecture and design decisions together with the team, ensuring clean and future-proof technical solutions
- You design, train, and integrate machine learning models into production applications (APIs, pipelines, and services)
- You work on computer vision applications (documents, images, layout, OCR-related topics) as well as graph neural networks for complex structures
- You evaluate modern machine learning approaches (classical ML, deep learning, multimodal foundation models) and apply them pragmatically and purposefully
- You work closely with the product and business teams to translate requirements into practical AI solutions
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
- You bring at least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer and hands-on experience delivering complex software projects
- You have very strong Python development skills (C++ is a plus)
- You possess deep and broad knowledge of machine learning, with practical experience in ML models and algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning)
- You have experience in computer vision or are eager to deepen your expertise in this area, with a solid understanding of multimodal approaches (text + image)
- Ideally, you have experience with OCR, document processing, or layout analysis
- You are able to solve complex technical challenges in a structured way and integrate solutions into production environments
- You are motivated, structured, and see things through — you take ownership and deliver reliably
- You are a team player who communicates openly, clearly, and in a solution-oriented manner
- You have very good German and English skills
